Getting together over food and drink is a practice as old as the human race.
When people share a meal together they tend to relax, and let down their guard.
As barriers come down conversation starts to flow. Bonds are strengthened, new friendships are formed. Plans are made. Dreams begin to unfold.
Is it any surprise that restaurants are so often the setting for first dates, for business meetings, for birthday celebrations and other important events?
Many of the most crucial decisions and fondest memories of your life will be made during the course of a lunch or dinner at a restaurant.
A restaurant, indeed, may very well be the place where you fall in love.
And also the place where you make your proposal.
And it may, in addition to that, be the place where you celebrate your anniversary, year after year after year.
There are many fine
restaurants in Lakewood
And all the drivers of Lakewood Taxi know where all those restaurants are.
If you’re not sure where you want to go for lunch or dinner, just ask your Lakewood Taxi driver. He will be happy to make suggestions.
Some of the best restaurants will be found in Olde Town, the funky old section of Lakewood, the section that makes you feel while you’re walking around there like you’re somewhere long ago.
Right on the northern edge of Olde Town, for example, is the famous “Arvada Tavern.”
It’s a five-star restaurant that presents itself as a kind of seedy dive. That’s what it looks like from the outside anyway.
But when you step inside you find yourself in a very clean and romantically lit space, although a space that’s obviously from a much earlier time.
They have a truly vast cocktail list there, and a very delightful menu. And upstairs in the evenings is live entertainment.
Fuzzy’s Taco Shop is another
place you shouldn’t miss
It’s in Olde Town too, right on Olde Wadsworth Boulevard.
It’s a fun sort of place with a great menu of Tex-Mex specialties, a very large drink selection, and a big patio where you can sit out in the sun and sip all afternoon on rather strong margaritas.
Just a five-minute walk from Fuzzy’s is the Thai Chili Asian Grill, a somewhat quirky and quaint little place where the décor is very pleasant, and the service is very friendly, and the food can be very hot and spicy if you choose.
But for those with weak palates, blander preparations are available.
Of course, it’s very hard to find
a parking place in Olde Town
Olde Town is a very popular destination for people not only in Arvada, but also in Lakewood, and all over southwest Denver.
As a result, it’s often hard to find a place to park your car, especially on weekends and holidays.
That’s why, even if you’re a local, you might want to go to one of the many first class dining places that you will find in Olde Town, or anywhere in Lakewood.
Remember that Lakewood Taxi is the number one taxi service in Lakewood

So if what you want is the best ride in Lakewood, and in all of southwest, then give us a call.
And we will immediately dispatch one of our professional, punctual, polite and courteous drivers to pick you up.
